New challenges for the TFL market was the focus of the 3rd Women in Logistics Forum05.06.2014 On 2 July 2014, the management staff of logistics companies arrived in Gdansk to attend the 3rd Women in Logistics Forum - a unique high profile event of the TFL industry in Poland - organized by the website Pracujwlogistyce.pl. The programme of this year's edition of the Forum under the heading of "Good and Bad Logistics" included three sessions aimed at identifying the challenges and the role of logistics at the time of market liberalisation, commercialisation, and global trade exchange. The first session discussed the latest research examining women's leadership in logistics and attempted to identify conditions necessary for release of their intellectual potential under the current economic realities. Subsequent debates focused on the economics of logistics from the viewpoint of the supplier and recipient of logistic services. The development of logistics business in Poland on the basis of the practical operation of major logistics centres was the theme of presentations given by Dorota Raben, PGA SA President of the Board and Marzenna Krefft, Vice President of the Board of Lech Walesa Airport in Gdansk. On the second day, the Forum participants attended field meetings at the Gdansk Airport and at the Port of Gdansk, which included a sightseeing boat tour of the port and a presentation of its business offer entitled "One port - many opportunities".
