"DCT" - the Port of Gdansk's container brand
Gdansk will soon host the world's largest container ships of the Danish carrier A.P. Moller-Maersk. Already in mid-May, the Deepwater Container Terminal will handle "Maersk Elba" and "Maersk Eubank", with
a carrying
capacity of 13,092 TEU, whereas the call of "Eleonora Maersk", capable of shipping 15,550 of 20-feet containers, has been scheduled for 25 May.

A weekend busy with ship calls

Record throughput at the Port of Gdansk Authority SA
It took the Port of Gdansk as much as 30 years of work to repeat its 1978 statistical success. It was not until last year - thanks to the significant transit of Russian crude oil and rapid growth in container throughput - that the port reminded us of its potential by reaching the 27.2 million tonnes throughput.
