06.04.2004

On April 5 this year, at the Gdansk Container Terminal, an inaugurating call took place of a new regular container service. Vessels owned by the Lithuanian shipowner Arijus & Partners will call at the Port of Gdansk on a weekly basis, on Tuesdays, as part of the Kursiu Line service. The line will be operated by three vessels: Maryam, Zenit and Betsy that was the first to arrive. The vessels operating the Kursiu Line will establish a regular connection on the route: in export Gdansk - Ipswich (UK) - Rotterdam (The Netherlands) - Teesport (UK); in import Teesport - Ostende (Belgium) - Rotterdam - Klaipeda (Lithuania) - Gdansk. Arijus & Partners had joined the other renowned shipowners that maintain regular container services calling at the Gdansk Container Terminal: OOCL, IMCL and Containerships Ltd Oy.
