A visit by the Copenhagen-Malmö Port Authority28.03.2011 On 24-25 March of this year, the Port of Gdansk played host to the members of the Copenhagen-Malmö Port Authority - Mr. Johan Röstin and Mr. Lennart Pettersson, along with the close 9-people-strong management of the port. Ranking second among the Scandinavian ports in terms of the size and operational activity, the Port of Copenhagen-Malmö is, at the same time, the biggest distribution centre for passenger vehicles in the Baltic region. Copenhagen is the leader in this part of Europe when it comes to the number of cruiseliner calls and its strong position is also observed in ferry and Ro-Ro services.
The visit of the Danish-Swedish delegation was, among other things, the opportunity to discuss prospects for future cooperation with the Port of Gdansk. The visitors were hosted by the members of PGA SA Board of Directors and by the President of Port of Gdansk Cargo Logistics, Ms. Maria Kowalewska-Koska. During their stay, the visitors were briefed about the potential of the Port of Gdansk and its development plans. On the last day of the visit, the delegates took the opportunity to see the inner part of the Port of Gdansk, with the Duty Free Zone and the Westerplatte Ferry Terminal, among other facilities.
