A visit of Port of Hamburg representatives

26.10.2005

On Tuesday, October 25, 2005, the Port of Gdansk Authority SA was playing host to representatives of the association Port of Hamburg Marketing at the Harbour Master's Office in the Northern Port. The German port was represented by Hendrik Lorenz, President and Maciej Brzozowski, Director of the association's Representative's Office in Poland. The event was hosted by Julian Skelnik, Vice President of the Board of the Port of Gdansk Authority SA and Ryszard Mazur, Director of the Commercial Office.

The participants to the meeting were greeted by Director Ryszard Mazur, that was followed by the presentation of the Port of Gdansk featuring, among other things, port's development prospects and, in particular, investment projects co-financed from the EU budget. The visitors from the Port of Hamburg showed interest in the privatization process at the Port of Gdansk and especially at the operating companies. Vice President of the Board Julian Skelnik informed the guests about the construction launch of the deepsea container terminal in the Northern Port, that attracted much attention among the visitors. Additionally, the guests had an opportunity to view the premises of the Northern Port from the vantage gondola at the Harbour Master's Office.
