An attractive offer for port operators27.10.2009 The attractive plot of land is situated within a short distance of the Gdansk port entrance, on the historic Westerplatte Peninsula, and designated for economic activity involving sea transport and shore-to-ship/ship-to-shore cargo handling. The Port of Gdansk Authority SA has announced a tender to find a port operator to provide cargo handling and forwarding services in the Obroncow Westerplatte Quay area. The object of the tender comprises two ship berths, an adjacent 17,000 sq. metres marshalling and service yard (yard A) and office space with a usable area of 362 sq. metres. Additionally, until a bidder is selected to operate the passenger terminal at the Westerplatte Ferry Terminal, the object of the tender also includes a marshalling and service yard with an area of approx. 15,000 sq. metres (yard B). A starting monthly flat rate net fee for conducting business activity by the operator amounts to: - for office space and yard A - PLN 75,000.00 per month
- for making available yard B - PLN 60,000.00 per month
- for using 1 ship berth - PLN 50,000.00 per month
The term of the contract should be proposed by the bidder. It is expected that the contract should be made for a defined period of time of up to 5 years. The bid bond shall be PLN 100,000.00.
