Azerbaijani oil at the Port of Gdansk

05.03.2008

Barely a week ago, the Liquid Fuel Terminal at the Port of Gdansk was hosting a visit by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Poland Lech Kaczynski. Following the announcement of the cooperation, the Greek tanker "Minerva Lisa" arrived in Gdansk bringing a load of 83 thou. tonnes of Azerbaijani crude oil from a Turkish port of Ceyhan. The oil will be pumped through a pipeline to tanks owned by PERN and then on to the oil refining plant PKN "Orlen" SA. Shortly, another tanker and bigger in size is expected to arrive with more oil. The Maltese "Tour" is carrying 128 thou. tonnes of crude oil ordered from Azerbaijan.
