Baltic Container Conference 2007

28.02.2007

The Port of Gdansk Authority SA is a partner to the Baltic Container Conference 2007. The Conference will be held on 22-23 March 2007 at the Central Maritime Museum in Gdansk. The theme of the Conference is: "Baltic Container Transport - on the Edge of Changes".

Container sea transport is the most rapidly growing development sector in the world. While the market is constantly undergoing changes, numerous questions are raised about the current situation as well as the future of the container market. How did the fifty years of container business operating on the market affect the image of transportation? How is maritime trade evolving and operating in the Baltic Sea region? What is the role of hub terminals in the container transport development? How to forge cooperation with inland ports? What will be the results of the investment boom in terminals in Russia as well as in other countries within the Baltic region?

Baltic Container Conference 2007 will provide an opportunity for container transport business representatives, delegates of Baltic seaports and industry experts to address these and other issues. The experience shared at the Baltic Container Conference 2007 and related to changes affecting the container haulage market will help companies to adapt to new market requirements.
