Chinese students visit the Port of Gdansk

14.07.2015

On 10 July, the Port of Gdansk had the pleasure to host students from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, accompanied by students from the School of Economics, Warsaw University and the Leon Kozminski Academy.

The joint visit of university representatives from China and the Polish took place within the framework of the Chinese-European Partnership for Development project, whose aim is to build a stable business relationship between China and Europe through the creation of, among others, a group of experts and leaders in the field of Sino-European relations. A further objective of this project is to promote Poland as an attractive region for investment and the development of inter-university academic cooperation.

The delegation began its visit within the hospitable walls of the Harbour Master's Office of the Northern Port, where the students had the opportunity to listen to some talks conducted by representatives of the Port of Gdansk Authority SA and the DCT. Those who participated in the meeting became familiar with the most essential information about the Port of Gdansk in terms of the essence of its functioning, its range of activities as well as potential in terms of investment. This informative meeting was consolidated by a visit to the container terminal DCT and a tour of the Harbour Master's Office of the Northern Port and of the Inner Port.
