Visit of the European Coordinator for the Baltic-Adriatic Base Corridor at the Port of Gdansk13.07.2015 On 9 July, the Port of Gdansk Authority SA had the pleasure to host Mr. Kurt Bodewig, the European Coordinator for the Baltic-Adriatic Base Corridor as part of his two-day visit to the Tri-City. The meeting at the Port of Gdansk was one of three scheduled visits, whose purpose was to discuss the importance of sea ports and their connections with the hinterland in terms of the functioning and development of the Baltic-Adriatic transport corridor. The visit, which lasted more than three hours, began at the Northern Port Harbour Master's building, where our guest was welcomed by representatives of the Management Board of PGA SA. In addition, the meeting was also attended by representatives of PKP PLK SA and GDDKiA. The meeting was an opportunity to present the Port of Gdansk, primarily in terms of ongoing and planned projects. In addition, the representatives of PKP PLK and GDDKiA presented their current and future projects regarding the railway and road infrastructure, the Port of Gdansk's so-called "last mile" facilities. The last point in the visit was a boat trip, during which our guest was shown the port areas of the waterfront as well as particular terminals, located both in the Outer and Inner port. |
