A tender has been awarded for the development of documentation of the investment project "Improvement of rail accessibility to the Port of Gdansk"

The Port of Gdansk Authority SA - a partner to PKP Polish Railways SA in the project "Improvement of rail accessibility of the Port of Gdansk (bridge across the Dead Vistula + double-track railway)" has signed a contract with Halcrow Group Limited - the company which has been awarded a tender for the development of documentation including the following components:

  1. a detailed technical and economic analysis of the infrastructure modernisation of railway line no 226 Pruszcz Gdanski - Gdansk Port Polnocny (Northern Port) and at least two conceptual structural designs of a new double-track railway bridge across the Dead Vistula together with the demolition of the existing single-track railway bridge, ensuring the maximum use of the hitherto developed conceptual documentation and studies;
  2. development of documentation necessary for obtaining decisions pursuant to the regulations of "Environmental Protection Law" and obtaining these decisions;
  3. development of a feasibility study in line with the principles binding for projects co-financed by the European Union under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment;
  4. development of a comprehensive application to the European Union for co-financing of the project implementation.

The investment project "Improvement of rail accessibility to the Port of Gdansk (bridge across the Dead Vistula + double-track railway)" has been submitted for implementation under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment - Priority Axis: VII, Measure: 2.
