Polish ports in Rotterdam11.09.2001 International Fair "Interfreight'2001", dedicated to transportation, was held in Rotterdam from 5th to 7th September this year. The fair was accompanied by a conference devoted, among other things, to the subject of Short Sea Shipping. Port of Gdansk Authority SA and Port of Gdynia Authority SA organised a joint exposition there. It was the second promotional event this year in which both ports presented themselves together. Over 120 international companies participated in "Interfreight'2001". Apart from the stands of the Port of Gdansk and the Port of Gdynia there were also stands of the ports of Strasbourg, Magdeburg, Lunen, Rotterdam, Konstanca and Ventspils, as well as of the associations of ports from Great Britain and Holland. Among the exhibitors there were also forwarding and transportation companies, and other firms connected with transportation and logistics.
Port of Gdansk Authority SA was represented by Stanislaw Cora,Vice-president of the Board and Krzysztof Urbas, Member of the Board, Development Director, while Port of Gdynia Authority SA by Krzysztof Gromadowski, Vice-president of the Board and Jan Lewko, Plenipotentiary of the Board. At the exposition stand shared by the Polish ports there were also representatives of the following companies operating on the maritime transportation market: Port of Gdansk Cargo Logistics Ltd., Baltic Container Terminal, Baltic General Cargo Terminal, SPEDCONT and Morska Agencja Gdynia Ltd.
