PGA SA General Meeting

On 4 June this year, in Warsaw, the General Meeting of the Port of Gdansk Authority SA was held. In line with the adopted agenda of proceedings, resolutions were passed concerning the approval of the Financial Statement and the Board's Report on the Company activity as at 31 December 2007. The General Meeting additionally discharged the members of the Management Board and the Supervisory Board from responsibility for all actions taken within their mandate during the previous year.

By virtue of resolution, the General Meeting appropriated the profit for the year 2007 toward the construction, expansion and modernization of port infrastructure and the implementation of tasks resulting from the Act on Seaports and Harbours.

The final resolution adopted by the General Meeting involved - due the term of office coming to an end - the selection of the members of the PGA SA Supervisory Board. Pawel Adamowicz was re-appointed the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Andrzej Osipow - who has also held the office to date - the Secretary. The composition of the Supervisory Board was additionally supplemented by Dariusz Lapinski representing the City of Gdansk.

The new member of the PGA SA Supervisory Board holds a graduate degree from the Faculty of Economics of Transport of the University of Gdansk and a PhD in economic sciences. He has experience in research and academic teaching at the University of Gdansk and at the Higher Maritime School in Gdynia. He gained professional experience in maritime economy while working for the Polish Ocean Lines and sitting on the Supervisory Board of the Gdynia Commercial Seaport SA. For many years, he has been active in financial consulting and management at the same time holding the position of Vice-President of ABC Consulting Ltd. Managing this one of the first established consulting companies in Poland, he supervises the work of teams developing projects in the area of restructuring, investment effectiveness analyses, business plans and companies appraisal - also on the order of the Ministry of the State Treasury.
