The Port of Gdansk Authority SA - winner of the Sint Sua Praemia Laudi award

09.04.2015

On 9 April the Pomeranian Provincial Governor - Ryszard Stachurski - awarded the Port of Gdansk Authority SA the Sint Sua Praemia Laudi award in the category of the economy.
For a number of years this award has been conferred by the Provincial Governor of Pomerania to people or institutions who have rendered outstanding service to the region, actively supported its development and promoted it throughout Poland and abroad.

This time the medal inscribed with the Latin "Sint Sua Praemia Laudi" or "May glory receive its reward" went to the Port of Gdansk Authority SA, acclaimed for its outstanding performance in 2014. The Provincial Governor praised in particular the record number of transhipments realised by the Port of Gdansk in the past year, including above-average results in terms of bulk cargo, liquid fuels, grain and containers.

The awards ceremony, like last year, took place in Sopot at the Belwederek, where the Governor awarded the medal to the Port of Gdansk Authority's CEO Ms. Dorota Raben.

"It is a great honour for our port that our efforts for the development of the Polish economy have been recognised. The Port of Gdańsk is a real catalyst for Polish business. I would like to thank you and at the same time dedicate this award to our employees who have worked hard to build the success of the Port, along with the transhipment operators who generate traffic in the port, as well as all those companies that have trusted us by investing their capital in the area of the Port. This award gives prestige, motivates and commits us to further efforts to promote good Pomeranian entrepreneurship. Sint Sua Praemia Laudi - to paraphrase the Latin maxim - glory be to Polish ports," spoke President Raben.

This year's winners also received awards from the Governor in the category of social affairs, sport and culture.
