Polish Chamber of Maritime Commerce's meeting

On December 22nd 2001 a meeting of Polish Chamber of Maritime Commerce was held in Nadmorski Hotel in Gdynia. The main events of the meeting were awarding Polish Chamber of Maritime Commerce with ISO 9001:2000 certificate and getting acquainted with new top officials from the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The ceremony was an opportunity for representatives of managements of maritime companies and organizations to meet. Despite bad weather conditions, a few well-known specialists connected with maritime economy managed to arrive. A special guest was Marek Szymonski, a junior minister in the Ministry of Infrastructure, who presented the guidelines of maritime policy for the coming years. Port of Gdansk Authority SA was represented by Marian Switek - President of the Board, Krzysztof Urbas - Member of the Board, Development Director and Bogdan Oldakowski - Advisor on Environmental Management and Social Relations.

All the guests congratulated Polish Chamber of Maritime Commerce on receiving such a prestigious certificate emphasizing that this pioneering achievement should be an example to be followed by the whole maritime industry. Approaching Christmas and New Year 2002 endowed the meeting with the special atmosphere. During the unofficial part of the ceremony Christmas greetings were exchanged and important current issues were discussed.
