Port of Gdansk in Katowice

On November 6, this year, the city of Katowice was hosting a presentation of the Port of Gdansk arranged for business partners based in the Silesian region. The presentation, similarly to the one made last year, was held in the conference hall at the Silesia Hotel.

The invitation offered from the Port of Gdansk Authority SA had been accepted by representatives of the major actors participating in the logistics chain. Among them, there were such companies as: Weglokoks SA, Polish Steelworks Co., Steelwork "Zabrze" Co., PKP Cargo SA, C. Hartwig-Katowice Co., Delta Trans Logistik Ltd, Silesian Logistics Centre Co., Polbod Trans Ltd, Trade Trans Ltd, Steelworks Supply Storehouse Co.

The participants were received and welcomed by Ms. Grazyna Kita - Commercial Office Director at the Port of Gdansk Authority SA. This was followed by a multi-medial presentation performed by Ms. Grazyna Balcerak, Head of Promotion Department at the Port of Gdansk Authority SA. On behalf of the largest company operating at the port, Port of Gdansk Cargo Logistics, there were Vice-President for Commercial and Operating Matters, Mr. Marek Frackowski and Head of Marketing Department, Mr. Marcin Bulski, who introduced the company's business offer. The concluding part of the presentation featured Mr. Marek Prazmak, Member of the Board, Commercial Director of the Gdansk Container Terminal Co. After the presentation, the visitors were offered a food and drink entertainment that provided an informal background for talks and discussions with present and potential business partners.

The event was the opportunity to introduce a comprehensive business offer, the accomplishments and the development potential of the Port of Gdansk to businesses operating in the Silesian region. It also enabled establishing new business liaison with representatives of the companies that wish to develop co-operation with the Port of Gdansk.
