The Warsaw Presentation of the Port of Gdansk29.05.2002 On 23rd May, the third edition of a presentation of the Port of Gdansk was held and it was the second time that the event was organized in Warsaw. On this occasion the participants had been invited to the Marriott Hotel. The main objective of the event was for business partners and potential customers to get familiar with the terminals currently operating at the Port of Gdansk, investment achievements, as well as the development perspectives for the years to come. There were about 50 visitors attending the presentation, among them the representatives of such companies as: Agro Handel Polska, DEC Tanks Operating Board, Hoyer Polska, Mastal PP, Polish State Railways Co., TirSped.
Special focus is to be driven to the fact that participating in the event there were also the representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, on behalf of which acted, among others: Marek Szymonski - Under-Secretary of State, Andrzej Gdula - Head of the Maritime Transport Department and Andrzej Hibner - Assistant Manager to the Head of the Defense Department. The presentation was also attended by the representatives of the embassies of Estonia, Lithuania and the Russian Federation, the representative of the Port of Hamburg and press editors of such magazines as: "Polska Gazeta Transportowa", "Rynki Zagraniczne" and "Puls Biznesu".
Representing the Port of Gdansk Authority SA there were: Stanislaw Cora - Vice-President of the Board, Property Management Director, Krzysztof Urbas - Member of the Board, Development Director, Jerzy Kotkowski - Senior Specialist of Port Hinterland Investment and Krzysztof Anzelewicz - Head of the Marketing Division at the Port Free Zone. On behalf of the Port of Gdansk Authority SA, the presentation was delivered by Dariusz Grzegorkiewicz - Chief Strategic Communications Officer.
In response to our invitation, included was the offer presentation by the Port of Gdansk Cargo Logistics Ltd. and the Gdansk Container Terminal Co. Representing the Port of Gdansk Cargo Logistics Ltd. there were Jerzy Chabros - President and Marcin Bulski - Marketing Director, whereas on behalf of the Gdansk Container Terminal acted Marek Prazmak - Commercial Director. After the presentation, the representatives of the operating companies took the opportunity to meet new business partners which may result in the increased flows of new cargoes to our port. Moreover, special attention should be drawn to the fact that during his speech, Minister Marek Szymonski congratulated the Port of Gdansk Authority Co. on the increased rate of cargo handling that had been reported over the last year and the dynamic pace of development of the Port of Gdansk.
