Reduction in electricity rates effective in the Port of Gdansk as of January 31st, 201522.12.2014 The Port of Gdansk Authority SA advises that as of January 31st, 2015, a reduction in electricity rates will be effective for all the recipients connected to the port power grid, purchasing electricity from PGA SA. The price reduction for the port's clients is the result of the favourable outcome of the August 2014 tender for the purchase of power in 2015, and of the acquisition of certificates of origin for Renewable Energy at the Polish Power Exchange at attractive prices. For several years now, the Port of Gdansk Authority SA has taken advantage of the opportunity given by the free energy market in order to reduce the cost of purchasing power for its own purposes and for the purposes of its business partners. The benefits for the business partners of the Port of Gdansk will be especially significant in the next year, resulting in as much as a 10 percent reduction as compared to the energy prices in 2013-20141. This is another consecutive year (since 2012) when three major Polish seaports (Gdansk, Gdynia and Szczecin-Swinoujscie) have decided to jointly purchase energy due to the fact that this procedure ensures substantial advantages to companies operating within the port's premises. Further details concerning the PGA SA new energy prices are available on: www.portgdansk.pl/o-porcie/energia-elektryczna (in Polish) www.portgdansk.pl/shipping/electric-power-supply-to-vessels 1The total cost of electricity is comprised of energy prices and the cost of its delivery to the recipients. The reduction applies solely to electricity prices determined by the actual cost of purchasing energy by PGA SA. It does not apply to the prices of delivery of power stipulated by the Energy Regulatory Office.
