Students from Finland at the Port of Gdansk

17.04.2009

On 15 April this year, the Port of Gdansk played host to a group of 14 logistics students of the Turku School of Economics, one of Finland's major economic universities specialized in the field of maritime economy. Their visit to Gdansk was part of a logistics course and an introduction to the principles of shipping market operations in the countries of the Baltic Sea region.

Upon the presentation of the Gdansk port and under the care of PGA SA Marketing Specialist Michal Stupak, the visitors were given a tour around the port premises and found out about the operations of the Port Free Zone and the Deepwater Container Terminal DCT. The students also had the opportunity to look at new infrastructure facilities at the Westerplatte Ferry Terminal and to admire the panoramic view afforded from the tower of the Northern Port Harbour Master's Office.
