The Bethleem light at the Port of Gdansk

22.12.2005

On December 22, 2005, the President of the Board of the Port of Gdansk Authority SA Andrzej Kasprzak received the Bethleem Light of Peace. This is a beautiful Christmas Eve tradition of sharing with others the light that had been lit in the Nativity Cave, that refers to the legend of a knight returning from a crusade, who was the first to have brought this light to his native Florence in order to pass to his nearest the spirit of good and peace. The Christmas light was brought to the Port by scouts of the Baltic Scouts Organization Gdansk - Portowa.
