The construction of Border Veterinary Inspection Post has come to an end

The construction work has been completed on the Border Veterinary Inspection Post in the Port of Gdansk - the Wislane Quay. On May 11, 2005, final acceptance was made of the work covering the adaptation of a part of warehouse no 18 at the Wislane Quay and the adjacent technical facilities, to operate as the Border Veterinary Inspection Post in the Port of Gdansk, aimed at the inspection of animal products. The acceptance of work was attended by representatives of the Border Veterinary Inspectorate in Gdynia. At present, measures are under way to obtain a decision permitting the use of the Border Veterinary Inspection Post and to commission it for operation of veterinary services. Completion of the construction of Border Veterinary Inspection Post has been informed to the European Commission's Food and Veterinary Office and their experts are expected to arrive soon and give their approval of the Post in the Port of Gdansk as the EU veterinary inspection post.
