The Port of Gdansk - Ambassador of the Polish Economy30.09.2016 On 28 September 2016, the Ambassador of the Polish Economy awards, awarded by the largest organisation of individual employers, the Business Centre Club, were for the eighth time presented to the winners at a ceremony in Warsaw. The competition was organised under the honorary patronage of the Brussels-based European Economic and Social Committee. The idea behind the competition is to reward the best examples of good business practice in foreign relations. The title of Ambassador in the Partner of Foreign Companies category went to the Port of Gdansk Authority SA, whose activities were considered the best realisation of the idea of the competition in this category. The jury praised the efficiency and effectiveness of the Port of Gdansk Authority SA's activities promoting the Polish economy through business activities undertaken in cooperation with foreign companies across the country and abroad. The formula of the competition means the title of Ambassador of the Polish Economy can be awarded in a total of six categories. Apart from the Partner of Foreign Companies category, the competition jury also awarded a prize for the best Exporter, Global Company, Creator of 21st-Century Solutions, European Brand and Highest Quality.
Bozena Jankowska, Vice-President of Financial Affairs, accepted the award on behalf of the Port of Gdansk Authority SA. The competition jury explained that they recognised the Port of Gdansk Authority SA as a reliable business partner, enhancing the image of Polish entrepreneurs, contributing to the country's economic development, attracting investors, and building confidence in Poland and the Poles.
