The trade mission of Belgian students in Gdansk

16.03.2007

On 10-15 March this year, Gdansk was playing host to the trade mission of the Walloon Region (Belgium) represented by the students of Sainte-Marie Institute in Liege.

For 12 years now, the Institute has organized trade missions to Poland including students representing businesses from a wide variety of industries in the Walloon Region. This year, the mission was aimed at setting up contacts with companies operating in the Gdansk area.

The Port of Gdansk hosted two groups of students on 13 and 15 March. During their visit they were introduced to the current business offer on processing cargoes both in the Northern Port and Inner Port, as well as to prospective developments including EU co-financed investment projects.

The two meetings at the Port of Gdansk gathered 96 students who, through direct talks with Gdansk-based companies, acquired valuable business connections, also with several companies operating on the premises of the Gdansk port.
