Transport Logistic 200719.06.2007 On 12-15 June this year, Munich was playing host to another edition of Europe's biggest transport and logistics trade fair "Transport Logistic 2007". The event attracted participation from 1,580 exhibitors, including the presentation of the Port of Gdansk. As has been the case in the previous years, exhibition booths were provided representing an entire range of transport industries offering among others services in the field of haulage and logistics, equipment and fleet for road, rail and multi-modal transportation, dedicated logistics systems for ports as well as safety systems. The tradeshow gathered participants representing around fifty port entities, among them Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Rostock, Turku, Rauma, Helsinki and - besides Gdansk - also the Port of Gdynia Authority SA.
The fair organizers emphasized a significant growth in the number of those attending the event, which at this year's edition reached 47 thou. visitors from 113 countries. Apart from the ports, Poland was additionally represented by Gdansk Container Terminal, Cargo Service, Erontrans, Baltic Container Terminal, Terramar, Spedcont, PKP Cargo, Freight Forwarding Company Trade Trans Ltd, International Freight Forwarding Mirtrans Ltd and Polish Distribution System.
The Port of Gdansk Authority SA held its own exhibition booth where the Gdansk port was represented by: Stanislaw Cora - President of the Board of PGA SA, Julian Skelnik - Vice President of the Board of PGA SA and Krzysztof Urbas - Director of Development Division of PGA SA. On behalf of the Gdansk port's key operator - Port of Gdansk Cargo Logistics - acted President of the Board, Marek Frackowski.
Newly implemented investment projects boost the diversity and attractiveness of services offered by the Port of Gdansk. Our business offer raised considerable interest amongst the fair visitors, which was reflected by many talks and discussions held with the port business partners at the exhibition booth. The event also provided the opportunity to establish new business relations, which can bear fruit in the future.
